Bills D-line hopes to outperform Jets D-line

They won’t be lining up on the field at the same time, but the Bills are well aware of the pub and league-wide respect the Jets defensive line gets. Buffalo’s defensive linemen believe their accolades are well deserved, but they’d like to show they can be every bit as productive. That’s why they’re making a point of trying to outplay them today.

“Absolutely,” said Jerry Hughes, when asked if there’s a competitive nature to outperform the opposing defensive line in games. “Anytime you step foot on the field and someone is talking about another defense or another phase of the ball you want to put your best foot forward. So we’re going out there with that mentality and we’re excited for the challenge.”

Hughes and the Bills come into the game leading the league in sacks with 24. The Jets rank sixth with 20 on the season.
