Mario’s sack streak reaches six

Posted by Chris Brown on November 10, 2014 – 9:41 am

Bills DE Mario Williams had one of Buffalo’s half dozen sacks in Sunday’s game as the defense is on the most torrid sack pace in franchise history through the first nine games of a season. Not surprisingly, Williams is on a streak of his own.

With his sack Sunday Mario Williams has now participated in a sack for the last six games. The six-game streak ties a personal career-long (games 10-15 in 2007 w/ Houston). Williams’ six-game streak is the longest by a Bill since Aaron Schobel in games 10-15 in 2006.

The 2007 season was when Williams set his single-season career high in sacks with 14 while with the Houston Texans. He currently has seven sacks this season.
