Scoring change on sacks for Bills

Posted by Chris Brown on November 12, 2014 – 3:39 pm

There was a scoring change from the Bills win over the Jets a couple of weeks ago. It concerned the Bills league-leading sack total. The total wasn’t affected, but who was awarded the sack was.

With 11:06 remaining in the second quarter against the Jets in Week 8 both Mario Williams and Kyle Williams appeared to be in on a sack together, but upon further review Kyle Williams is being awarded a full sack. That gives him two sacks in that game, while Mario Williams lost the sack he was initially credited with.

For the season Mario Williams now has 6.5 sacks and Kyle Williams now has 3.

Buffalo still leads the league in sacks with 34.
