Bills head coach Doug Marrone called Thursday night’s defensive effort one that had the most missed tackles that he’s seen in one game and his players did not disagree. Veteran cornerback Corey Graham offered his thoughts on how to address that problem and get it corrected.
“You’ve just got to get back to the fundamentals,” he said. “You do tackling drills all the time. Sometimes you get too high in your technique and things like that and you get careless and that’s how you miss tackles. Some guys are just trying so hard and running so fast that it’s hard to stop (and break down), things like that. But you’ve just got to get back to the basics. You can’t miss tackles in this league and you’ve got to get the guy down when you have the opportunity. That’s what we have to work on and get better at.”
