Bills RB Boobie Dixon became the third player on the roster to win AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors Tuesday, thanks mainly to his blocked punt against the Jets that Manny Lawson recovered for a touchdown in the 38-3 victory. Dixon gave credit to his teammates for making the award possible.
“It was great. It was a great honor,” said Dixon. “First thing I’ll say, shout out to my teammates for pushing me and supporting me. We go into war together. They’re the ones that motivate me to do what I do. It just felt good.”
The Bills are the only team with three players earning Special Teams POW honors this season. Dan Carpenter and C.J. Spiller were the others.
