Dan Carpenter had a banner year as a Buffalo Bill, setting the all-time team record for most field goals in a season. Now, as only the fifth NFL player to hail from Helena, Montana, Carpenter will be honored as a 2015 Helena Sports Hall of Fame contemporary inductee.
As a receiver and punter at Helena High from 2001-03, the versatile athlete set school records in longest field goal, season receiving yards and season touchdown receptions, as well as tying four other records. He earned All-State selections in three different football positions as well as in basketball, and set his school’s track record in the javelin.
For those impressive honors and his seven year and counting NFL career, his induction into the Helena Sports Hall of Fame will be held on July 16, 2015.
