Another night on the air as we wind down the week here at One Bills Drive. Tonight, we asked the listeners, with the pending additions for the team, where should they now turn their focus as free agency looms, what’s next and what do they need? Plenty of reaction from the offensive line, to tight end, to even wide receiver.
Bills running back Boobie Dixon, a familiar voice on the show is back in Buffalo and was kind enough to swing by our studio. He talked about the changes with the running back group, his relationship with new offensive coordinator Greg Roman, and how his versatility will play a positive role in the Bills offensive backfield.
“For me, being my sixth year in the NFL, I’ve pretty much trained myself to be ready for anything. I don’t really pride myself on a bell cow guy no more. I like all the different tags. I’ll play running back, I’ll play fullback, I’ll do whatever on special teams. I’m a team guy, a championship guy. If you want that type of guy, that’s Boobie Dixon.”
“I’ve set my goals high ever since I stepped into the NFL. Last year I had a really good chance to contribute to the offense and to this team. I’m excited about this year to come and hopefully I can do better and contribute a little bit more.” Hogan said “In this league your time can be short-lived if you don’t make most of your opportunities that you get. Every opportunity that I was given since I’ve been playing I just have to take advantage of. It’s something I’m going to continue to do for the rest of my career.”
We also had a couple of national media members join us to talk about free agency and the Bills moves so far. Bill Barnwell from Grantland joined us at the top of the second hour and Brad Gagnon from Bleacher Report rounded out the show.
