Bills DT Marcell Dareus will be at the park where he grew up playing youth football this weekend to help with a revitalization effort and make a donation.
Dareus, who grew up playing in Wahouma Park in Birmingham, Alabama, is making a donation of $100,000 to refurbish some of the run down areas of the park while also improving the condition of the landscaping, fields and playground areas.
“I’m really excited to come back to Birmingham and revitalize the park I played in as a child,” Dareus said in the release. “I want the kids who play here to know that they have the same opportunities to succeed as I did. And what better way to do that than to give them a safe and clean environment in which to play.”
