Bills CB Stephon Gilmore was locked up through the 2016 season Tuesday when the team picked up the fifth-year option on his rookie contract. Gilmore appreciated the investment made in him by the club.
“It’s a blessing obviously this team drafted me,” said Gilmore. “They invested in me and it’s a blessing that they picked my fifth year up. And I’m just happy to be out here with my teammates and do whatever I can to help this team.”
Gilmore is one of several players from his 2012 draft class that had their fifth-year options exercised by their teams.
