Bills WR Marquise Goodwin will be participating is the US track and field championships this weekend.

That’s according to multiple reports. Goodwin will not be a sprinter, but will be participating in the long jump competition, the same event that he qualified for in the 2012 Olympics in London.

Goodwin, who has a personal best of just a shade over 27 feet successfully petitioned the US track and field committee to be entered in this weekend’s qualifiers for the World Championships in Beijing, China from August 22-30. That according to an SI.com report.

To do so he’d have to finish among the top three US qualifiers and meet the minimum required jump of 26.5 feet.

If he does the long jump competition is scheduled to take place in Beijing on Aug. 24th and 25th. Bills training camp runs July 31st to Aug. 25th.

Goodwin finished 10th in the long jump in the London Olympics in 2012.
