Bills players are enjoying their first week off from football. And though the advice from coaches is to step away from the mental grind for a few weeks, taking a break off from the physical regimen shouldn’t go more than a couple of weeks.
The expectation is to keep working at staying in top physical shape, so when they walk into training camp they’re ready for the four week grind leading up to the regular season.
“The best shape of their life really (is the expectation),” said offensive coordinator Greg Roman of players when they return for training camp. “I think they’ve worked a lot this offseason toward that. As a professional they’ve all got a lot of individual goals and we also have a lot of team goals. For them to show up in the best shape of their life and just keep doing what they’re doing. We’ve got a lot of guys who love the game of football.”
