Appearing at an event in Pennsylvania Tuesday NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was asked if a timeline was in place for a ruling to be made on Tom Brady’s current four-game suspension as part of the Deflate-gate scandal. Goodell maintained there is no timetable.
“There is no timeline. We want to make sure we have a fair and open process. We are obviously being very thorough and want to make sure we consider all aspects of his appeal,” said Goodell at a fundraising event. “We will make a decision as quickly as possible.”
Brady appealed the four-game ban and there have been reports that unless the ban is lifted in full that the Patriots quarterback will take the league to court over their decision on punishment.
If the four-game ban is upheld, or even reduced to two games Brady would miss the Patriots’ Week 2 game against the Bills at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
