Bills WR Marquise Goodwin isn’t far from where his pro football home participating in the Pan Am Games in the long jump in Toronto this week. He’s in tonight’s finals for the long jump (6 pm), and is very appreciative of the support he’s received from his Bills teammates and from Bills fans on site in Toronto.
In an appearance on the John Murphy Show, Goodwin talked about how all the support has pumped him up for the competition.
“I actually saw some Bills fans in the stands which really excited me after I jumped,” said Goodwin. “I was getting ready to leave the track and I looked in the corner by the long jump pits and they were like, ‘Hey Marquise! Go Bills!’ It was so cool.”

Goodwin said he’s received support from several of his current and former Bills teammates as well, who have been sending him tweets constantly. “A lot of my teammates are contacting me telling me they’re watching and cheering for me,” Goodwin said. “A lot of them are tweeting. They’ve just been really supportive of me. It’s a great group of guys. That shows how great the camaraderie is on our team. For it to be a whole different sport and have them watch and cheer is just a blessing.”
