“I was pretty certain and confident in my ability,” Goodwin told the John Murphy Show. “I don’t walk into any competition thinking I’m anything less than the next man. So my confidence was high and kind of expected to do well. I put in a lot of work toward it and I was motivated and ready for the competition.”
The finals for the long jump are Wednesday night at 8 pm and are expected to air on ESPN2.
