Marquise Goodwin has gotten a lot of media attention since he qualified for the Pan Am Games long jump final tonight in Toronto (6 pm). He just completed an interview on ESPN and stated how much he likes his chances to medal tonight.
“I think I have a pretty good chance,” Goodwin told ESPN. “A lot of people have worked hard for this, but so have I. I think I’m the best man. I’ll put myself up against anybody.”
Goodwin had the second-longest jump among the qualifiers, second only to USA teammate Jeffery Henderson.
