Things for Marquise Goodwin might be rolling at training camp opens on the heels of his silver medal-winning performance at the Pan Am Games just last week. But Goodwin literally rolled into camp after he got out of his car.
Goodwin came to camp equipped with a V-board. A V-board is a lot like the Segway devices that police officers and security guards make use of to get around, only a V-board is just the board and two wheels. I asked Goodwin how fast the device can carry him.
“As fast as you want it to,” he said. “I think the top speed is 15-20 miles per hour.”
Naturally there’s a good bit of balance involved to allow the board to carry you, but Goodwin appears to have it mastered after seeing him carrying his lunch plate with him while on his V-board.
