The Bills offense came away with just 13 points on 18 possessions with drive starts that began at their own 30 or 35-yard line in Saturday’s blue-white scrimmage. As Tyrod Taylor saw it that’s not going to get it done come the regular season.
“We didn’t get in the end zone as much as we would like,” Taylor said. “We moved the ball up and down the field. We’ve got to focus more so on the red zone, putting the ball in the end zone and not setting up for field goals. I think its some good things to take away from the scrimmage. First time we got live action against the defense. Some good things to take away, like I said. But definitely some stuff we could go watch and get better at.”
Taylor had a chance on a throw in the red zone for a touchdown, but missed Dezmin Lewis in the left corner of the end zone by not putting enough air under the ball.
“That touchdown I should have had in the red zone,” he said. “Definitely wanted to hit that one in, I had one down there I should of hit as well.”
