Harvin’s hip keeps him out of practice

It’s an injury that’s been affecting Percy Harvin’s availability since early in training camp. The veteran receiver did not play a single snap in the preseason and now it’s keeping him out of regular season practices leading up to the season opener.
Harvin has been battling a nagging hip injury for most of the summer. Things appeared to be encouraging when the wideout practiced last week, and Harvin indicated he was ready to roll. On Wednesday however, he did not practice due to the same hip ailment.
Head coach Rex Ryan stated it was a scheduled rest day as they don’t want to overtax the hip as he returns to action.
WR Marquise Goodwin and rookie LB Tony Steward also did not practice Wednesday. Here’s the full Bills injury report.
