In Week 1 against the Colts, the Bills jumped out to a 24-0 lead and coasted to a 27-14 victory. Getting up early on Indianapolis allowed offensive coordinator Greg Roman to keep a good portion of his game plan from ever hitting the field and getting on film. It’s something that will allow Buffalo’s offensive play caller to save some of that plan for a future opponent, provided it fits.
“The beautiful thing was we probably only used about 15-17 percent of the game plan,” said Roman of Week 1. “The way the defense and special teams played it allowed us to maybe get another week’s work on some other things that might be valuable moving forward.”
