After giving up more passing yards in one game to a quarterback in team history Sunday, Buffalo’s defenders aren’t lacking in confidence. They’re just fully aware that they’ve got some ground to cover as a defensive unit.
LB Preston Brown called the results of Sunday’s game for Buffalo’s defense a wake up call.
“I’m not sure it’s a blow to our confidence; it’s just something we need to improve on. It really showed to be a reality check. It shows that we’re not the best. We act like we are, but we aren’t right now, so we have a lot to work on.
“Just too many mistakes. We gave up way too many passing yards, that’s something we can’t do. If you want to go out and beat Tom Brady you have to shut him down in the passing game. We allowed him to get away with way too much.”
Brady threw for 466 yards, the most in a single game against the Bills in team annals.
