Bills head coach Rex Ryan was asked about the merits of resting LeSean McCoy this week against the Giants in light of the fact that McCoy felt his ailing hamstring was acting up on him again. Ryan intends to lean on the team’s medical and athletic training staff to determine the best course of action.
“Well we will consider doing anything that is in the best interest of our football team and our players,” said Ryan. “So if that is… I am not going to say yeah I will rest him. I think I will let our experts look at that. Our doctors and our trainers all that type of stuff. They will tell me and I think that is what we will do.”
Ryan said after the game Sunday evening that even at 80 percent McCoy can be a difference maker.
