Rex encouraged by Mario’s progress

Last week Mario Williams was riding around on a scooter to stay off his injured foot. That approach appears to have helped a good deal as Williams has been able to practice on a limited basis each of the last two days. It’s left head coach Rex Ryan encouraged that his big defensive end will be able to play Sunday.
“I think Mario looks good,” said Ryan. “Mario might not be 100 percent, but he’s good enough for us.”
Buffalo’s defensive line is already down Kyle Williams and Alex Carrington, who both went on injured reserve this week. The team signed DE Lavar Edwards and DT T.J. Barnes for reinforcements.
