This Saturday, Feb. 13 the Kelly family welcomes the Western New York community to take part in the 18th annual Hunter’s Day of Hope & Prayer for Children. The free event is being held in the ADPRO Sports Training Center in Orchard Park, N.Y. from 1pm-4pm. The fun filled day will include activities and complimentary food for children and their families.
In conjunction with the Hunter’s Hope Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by Bills Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly and his wife Jill, the Day of Hope seeks to honor their son Hunter who was diagnosed with Krabbe Leukodystrophy, as well as bring the community together to support other’s facing the disease. Hunter, who was born on Feb. 14, 1997, courageously fought the fatal disease until he was eight years old and continues to instill hope for children and parents today.
The organization is dedicated to research efforts and community outreach, and offers several ways to join the cause. For additional information on Hunter’s Day of Hope & Prayer and the Hunter’s Hope Foundation, please visit www.huntershope.org/ or www.facebook.com/HuntersHope.
