Reports are strongly indicating that an offer sheet by the Patriots could be presented to Bills free agent WR Chris Hogan as early as today. Hogan visited with New England on Thursday along with a host of other free agents including fellow receiver and Oakland free agent Rod Streater. So what’s the appeal of Hogan to the Patriots?

According to ESPN Boston’s Mike Reiss, Belichick met with Hogan and Streater Thursday and put them through the paces of testing their ability to retain new information. Reiss reports that both Hogan and Streater could get offer sheets today.
The Bills would have five days to match the offer sheet or lose him without compensation.
