The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences recently released the nominations for the 37th annual Sports Emmy Awards. Among the list of nominees, is a film that hits home for the Buffalo Bills and the Western New York community. ESPN Films’ “30 for 30” documentary titled “Four Falls of Buffalo,” will compete for the prestigious award in the “Outstanding Long Sports Documentary” group.
The acclaimed documentary tells the story of the Buffalo Bills during the franchises’ four consecutive Super Bowl appearances during the ’90s. The piece will be up against four others—two of which are also from the 30 for 30 series.
“Four Falls of Buffalo,” directed by Ken Rodgers, originally aired on Dec. 12, 2015 and featured many Bills greats including, Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly. While the documentary shares both the triumphs and hardships that the team faced during this time, its also shares an inspirational message of hope and perseverance.
Bills fans can tune in on May 10 as the nominees are recognized at the Lincoln Center in New York.
