Ron Jaworski is an old school NFL quarterback. The increasing encroachment of the spread offense on the NFL game isn’t necessarily his cup of tea. That’s why Michigan State QB prospect Connor Cook is so appealing to him. Jaworski believes Cook is as NFL ready as any signal caller in the class.
“When you look at his tape, he’s a very good football player. A very good player,” said Jaworski. “Now, I can point out flaws, I can point out positives, but I think Connor Cook is a guy that his game on the field projects well to the NFL.”
Jaworski spoke on a national conference call Tuesday and said he felt Cook was not getting enough respect as a pro quarterback prospect.
Cook is forecast anywhere from a second to a third round pick in the 2016 NFL draft.
