While a host of starters won’t be playing in Buffalo’s preseason finale in Detroit, the large majority of them will be traveling with the team. That won’t be the case however, for Nickell Robey-Coleman.
Buffalo’s nickel corner was back on the practice field for the first time Tuesday since suffering a knee injury last week. He told Buffalobills.com that his knee performed very well and he was very encouraged. He’s confident he’ll be ready for Week 1, but plans to do everything between now and then to make sure that happens.
With that in mind Robey-Coleman won’t be making the trip to Detroit with the rest of the team.
“I’m going to be here in Buffalo getting (treatment and rehab) in every day all the way up to Week 1,” he said. “Everybody else is going to travel. I’m not going to travel. I’m going to stay here and do treatment and then starting that week we’re going to do a couple of more little things with the trainers and I’m going to be out there live.”
