The decision to go with EJ Manuel as the starter this week after Tyrod Taylor has started the first 15 games has made for an awkward situation in the quarterback room this week. While all three quarterbacks have accepted it, it’s a situation that makes things a bit uncomfortable for everyone involved. No one knows that better than EJ Manuel.
“Of course anytime something like this happens… I know when I was a starter and I got replaced it was awkward for me,” said Manuel. “Even coming to practice the next day it just felt weird. So I’m sure it is a little different for him.
“At least for me it was good to get back in the saddle and get some timing with those receivers and tight ends. It was good for me.”
Taylor chose not to speak to the media on Wednesday.
