For those that did not see the figures released by the NFL this week, here are the three different levels at which restricted free agents can be tendered.
Low level – $1.797M (grants compensation based on player’s draft round as a rookie – if undrafted, no compensation)
Second round level – $2.746M (provides 2nd round pick compensation from club that successfully signs player away)
First round level – $3.91M (provides 1st round pick compensation from club that successfully signs player away)
Both of Buffalo’s restricted free agents who were tendered were done at the low level.
