Bills Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly recently took a trip to New York City to attend the Kelly Cares Foundation’s seventh annual Irish Eyes Gala. The foundation, which was started by Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly and his wife Paqui in 2008, aims to inspire hope by investing resources in health and education. This signature event honors “game changers” or individuals who have done their part to improve the lives of others.
Kelly, a game changer in the Western New York community and around the country, received the “Leadership in Health Award” for the work he does with his foundations and for his courageous battles with cancer.
“No matter where you come from or how you grow up, every person has the ability to make a difference today for someone who is fighting for their tomorrow,” said Jim Kelly. “Tonight acknowledges our collective efforts to help those who are less fortunate, and I am very honored to be recognized for the work of my foundations, Hunter’s Hope and Kelly for Kids.”
