Preston Brown has been a very durable players since he’s put on a Bills uniform. In fact in his first three NFL seasons he hasn’t missed a game. But he wanted to improve heading into season four, so he made a change to his offseason regimen.
Known for carrying candy in the sweatshirt he’d routinely wear under his practice jersey, Brown scrapped candy from his diet and is eating a lot healthier.
“No candy at practice anymore,” he said. “No little stuff like that. I have a chef now. I’m trying to eat healthy. A lot of green stuff. It’s been different to try and make sure my body can maintain through the whole season. It was my idea. Nobody really said anything. All I do is chew gum now, no candy.”
When asked what prompted the decision Brown explained.
“I just think I need to peak more as the season goes and not go down,” Brown said. “I feel like my play drops later in the year, so I need to make sure I keep my energy level up and make sure I keep helping the team win games instead of being a liability out there. I want to keep getting better every game.”
