RB Seastrunk says has pre-draft visit w/Bills

Posted by Chris Brown on March 21, 2014 – 8:03 am

Baylor RB prospect Lache Seastrunk went through his college pro day in front of scouts on Thursday. In addition to improving his 40 time from what he ran at the NFL combine in February, he also revealed where he’ll be headed on pre-draft visits.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s Charean Williams the Bills are one of Seastrunk’s scheduled visits.

Seastrunk, who is an entertaining back to watch with his elusiveness, improved his 40 time from a 4.51 in Indy to a 4.46 at his pro day. He also posted a sub-seven second three cone drill time (6.81) and a solid 4.31 second short shuttle. Putting those alongside his 41.5 inch vertical and 11’2″ broad jump at the combine he cemented his status as an explosive back. He’s forecast as a third round pick.

Mack will carry MAC chip into NFL

Posted by Chris Brown on March 4, 2014 – 2:05 pm

UB OLB Khalil Mack is widely seen as a top 10 draft prospect. After performing at the University at Buffalo pro day in Orchard Park, Mack made it clear his draft stock will have little impact on his motivation to prove he belongs in the NFL.

Mack still carries a chip on his shoulder from being lightly recruited and for being knocked for playing in the Mid-American conference.

“I set goals for myself. I want to continue to work hard and get better. I don’t feel like this is my final goal in a sense,” he said. “I feel like there’s a lot more that I’ve got to prove especially coming out of the MAC conference. I feel like I’ve got to go out there and dominate on the next level and I’m ready to do that.”

Mack doesn’t feel it puts any more pressure on him to succeed, but he does want to show opponents they better not underestimate him when he’s lined up against them.

“There’s not a label on you, but they’re taking it for granted, but until they feel what you’re coming off the edge with and hitting them in the mouth, I feel like that’s what I’m out to prove,” he said.

USC pro day to be pushed back for Barkley

Posted by Chris Brown on January 31, 2013 – 11:11 am

USC is reportedly moving their team pro day back to give QB Matt Barkley extra time to get healed up from a sprained shoulder.

That according to Draft Insiders Tony Pauline.

Most injured players that are rehabbing and can’t participate in their college pro day set up their own pro day, but USC is likely pushing their date back knowing their receivers are going to want Barkley throwing to them.
