According to the Kansas City Star, Chiefs WR/RB/PR Dexter McCluster, who practiced on a limited basis Wednesday and Thursday is doing even less today (Friday).

kentbabb    Chiefs WR Dexter McCluster wasn’t practicing today; was instead on the bike. Injury report isn’t out yet, but I highly doubt he’ll play.

Babb is the Star’s beat reporter for the Chiefs. Previous reports have stated that McCluster has a high ankle sprain and will miss several weeks. We’ll get you the official Chiefs injury report as soon as it’s released.

KC could be down a speedster

Posted by Chris Brown on October 29, 2010 – 8:32 am

The Chiefs made a point of adding speed to their roster in the 2010 draft, but they could be missing one of those speed merchants this Sunday against the Bills.

According to a KCSP-TV report, McCluster’s ankle injury, which has allowed him to only participate on a limited basis in practice the past two days, is a high ankle sprain that will force him to miss several weeks.

McCluster is the Chiefs’ third leading receiver and third leading rusher. He’s also their primary punt returner. If he can’t play look for Chris Chambers to be back in the lineup at wideout after being a healthy scratch the past two weeks and fellow rookie Javier Arenas to take on more of the return game load.

McCluster limited again

Posted by Chris Brown on October 28, 2010 – 11:55 am

Chiefs rookie punt returner and RB/WR Dexter McCluster is reportedly limited in practice for a second straight day here on Thursday.

That according to Kansas City Star reporter Kent Babb, who said both McCluster (ankle) and starting guard Ryan Lilja (hand) were both standing around at practice.

Early indications are that McCluster will be able to play on Sunday
