Senior Bowl North Tuesday practice

The Senior Bowl North team wrapped up Tuesday practice at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile with some rough edges on offense.
It was tough sledding for the North offense especially through the air. Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd was the most effective of the three North quarterbacks, and that’s not saying much.
Wisconsin wide receiver Jared Abbrederis was able to shake loose a couple of times downfield and went up to snare a high pass along the sideline from Boyd. But Abbrederis looked a shade smaller than his listed height of 6-2, and did not look like he could fly down the field.
UCLA wideout Shaquelle Evans had some good moments and looked fluid and fast in his routes. Unfortuately, Evans was unable to make any big plays downfield however thanks to some erratic passing and underthrown deep passes.
Lockport native David Fluellen made one good run when a huge hole opened up on a stretch play to the left side during the team portion of the morning workout. He credited his offensive line with opening up the hole when he spoke with us following practice and he was able to pick up good yardage.
On the defensive side of the ball, massive DL Ra’Shede Hageman gave blockers fits during one on one pass rush drills. Hageman is an impressive specimen, standing 6 feet, 7 inches tall.
And Wisconsin LB Chris Borland was a standout, using his great instincts and speed to fly around the field. He seems to have a knack for quickly diagnosing plays and getting to where the action is. Borland’s height, (5’11”) will be a drawback for him in the draft.
The South team hits the practice field later today in Mobile.
