We’re set to go with the Thursday night installment of The John Murphy Show.  Here’s the lineup:

At 7pm, we’ll recap the news of the day from One Bills Drive and all over the NFL.

720pm-Bills DE Mark Anderson joins us in studio to talk about his performance against the Chiefs, and what the Bills have in store for Browns rookie QB Brandon Weeden.

We’ll take phone calls and ask a Bills trivia question at 745pm.

At 8pm, our old pal Vic Carucci, the Senior Editor of Cleveland, and the host of Browns Daily on the radio in  Cleveland will join us live on the line for a preview of Sunday’s game.

We break the show early tonight, to make way for Thursday Night Football, with the Giants at Carolina.

The John Murphy Show airs weeknights from 7pm-9pm on the flagship station of the Buffalo Bills, WGR Sports Radio 550.

Carucci: QB on Bills radar

Posted by Chris Brown on February 11, 2011 – 12:28 pm Senior Columnist Vic Carucci in a live chat with fans today was asked about Buffalo’s priorities going into the NFL draft. It was assumed by the questioner that the QB position was settled and said as much in his question, but Carucci’s response was very telling. Here’s what Vic said.

Not so sure that the Bills are thinking their QB position is settled. From everything I hear, GM Buddy Nix likes Cam Newton a great deal, and the Bills might very well be inclined to take him in the No. 3 slot. Now they also might be of the opinion they could wait to take him in the second round, and that might very well happen, too. But I think QB will be prominently on the Bills’ radar.”

Vic also went on to say that addressing the defensive line would be high on the priority list as well, which is very much expected come late April. He also mentioned tight end.

No NFL team wants Bills

Posted by Chris Brown on December 1, 2010 – 10:16 am

After seeing the comments that national editor Vic Carucci got from a couple of Steelers this past Sunday after their escape overtime win over the Bills, it’s clear that no other NFL team in the playoff hunt wants to face the Bills right now.

The comments from a pair of veteran players in LB James Farrior and OT Flozell Adams says it all.

“Coming into this game, they were 2-8, but as far as we were concerned, they were (playing like they were) 8-2,” Adams told Carucci. “I’ve been around a long time and I’ve seen teams fold if they’re 2-8, and just look to the offseason. These guys are not going to do that. They’re going to ruin somebody’s party.”

“I’m just glad we don’t have to play them anymore,” Farrior told Carucci. “They’ve got a lot of fight in them. Even though their record doesn’t show it, I think they’re a good football team.”

This week’s opponent, Minnesota, it pretty much out of the playoff hunt with both the Packers and Bears comfortably ahead of them in the NFC North, but the Patriots and the Jets at the end of the season are likely going to need wins over the Bills with the two teams neck and neck.

The Pats and Jets will both bring their ‘A’ games because they have to, but the Bills will be as well.
